About Us
Brooke House School is a co-educational independent school for pupils aged 5–16, with nursery provision for children from birth to 5 years.
We pride ourselves on providing a supportive learning environment with small class sizes, allowing every child to receive individual attention and encouragement. Alongside academic learning, we offer a wide range of extracurricular activities designed to help pupils develop confidence, creativity and independence.
Many of our pupils join us at an early age and remain with us through to their GCSE studies.
Our Aim
Our aim is to inspire every pupil to achieve their full potential academically, socially and personally.
We provide a broad and balanced education that encourages curiosity, creativity and resilience, while preparing pupils for the opportunities and challenges of adult life.
At Brooke House School, the enjoyment of learning and the wellbeing of every child are at the heart of our caring school community.
Key Stage 1
Key Stage 1 is an exciting stage in a child’s educational journey, where confidence and independence begin to grow.
Building on the foundations established in Early Years, pupils develop essential reading, writing and mathematical skills within the supportive environment of small class sizes.
Alongside core subjects, pupils benefit from specialist teaching in areas such as music, drama and modern foreign languages.
Key Stage 2
In Key Stage 2, pupils follow a broad and engaging curriculum designed to challenge and inspire.
While we follow the National Curriculum, our small class sizes allow us to adapt learning to suit the needs and abilities of each child. We aim to nurture confidence, independence and a love of learning, ensuring every pupil is supported and challenged appropriately.
Key Stage 3
At Brooke House School, we recognise that the transition from primary to secondary education is an important stage in a young person’s life.
We work closely with both pupils and parents to ensure this transition is as smooth and positive as possible. Strong pastoral care is central to our ethos, and every pupil is supported by dedicated form tutors, teachers and support staff.
We encourage high standards of behaviour, respect and personal responsibility, with achievements recognised through our rewards systems.
Key Stage 4
In Year 10, pupils begin a carefully structured GCSE programme designed to provide both academic challenge and flexibility.
Alongside core subjects including English, Mathematics and Science, pupils can choose from a range of option subjects tailored to their interests and future aspirations.
We aim to support every pupil in achieving their full potential while encouraging independence, confidence and personal growth. Physical Education also remains an important part of school life, helping pupils maintain healthy and active lifestyles.
